Mid-Mo Military Family Pantry

Donations of these items will be used to help local veterans and their families. Your donated items can be placed in the Mission Cafe area at Wesley UMC. Thank you for your continued support. The Mid-Mo Military Family Pantry helps central Missouri military families and veterans.

The pantry is located in the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) State Headquarters office. The phone number for the Food Pantry is 573-636-8761.

The Life of A Single Mom

The Life of a Single Mom is a ministry held once a month at Wesley UMC. We meet from 6–7:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month (Sept.—May). The group's mission is to bring Jesus's love and joy to single moms and their children. All single mothers are welcome.

Childcare is provided for children ages birth—middle school.

Wow! What a season!! Thank you so much for all the parts you played in keeping our guests safe and warm this season.  Below you'll find some numbers to reflect the work we did, but that in no way defines the relationships we made with our guests and with each other.  When the world gets crazy (or crazier), hold on to this. Here is where we find the best of humanity.

Clean-Up and Cot Wash

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 3 as the date we'll deep clean the Inn, wash all the cots outside, and put things away for the summer. We'll start at 9am.

New Location?

We're forever grateful to First Baptist Church for the use of their space. After the February we had, turning up to six guests away some nights, we're in need of a bigger space.  Do you know of any buildings or parts of buildings available? Please send your suggestions in!

‘Za Game Night at Wesley UMC

Game night meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 6–10 pm. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome! You are welcome to bring your own games or play the games others bring: just make sure that the games are good for all ages.

Community Garden

If you or anyone you know in our community enjoys gardening but doesn't have the space to do so, we have a suggestion: 

Rent a space at the Wesley UMC Pinwheel Community Garden!

Each plot is approximately 20' X 20' and the rent is $30.  Last year’s gardeners will get the first opportunity to renew their rental plot. After that, applications will be taken on a first come first serve basis. Applications can be obtained by contacting the church office via email at wumcjeffcity@gmail.com or picked up at the church office, 2727 Wesley St., Monday—Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
